PLA-CF is not stocked, so it can't be ordered from the configurator. Email us and we'll quote it as a special run.

Overview

Carbon fibre chopped into PLA raises stiffness and lowers shrinkage, so it warps less than plain PLA and reads as a matte surface. The fibres make the material more brittle than plain PLA and abrasive to the nozzle, so a hardened nozzle is required. Heat resistance is unchanged from PLA.

Pros

  • Noticeably stiffer than plain PLA
  • Stays flat with very low warping
  • Matte finish hides layer lines
  • Dimensionally stable

Cons

  • More brittle — low impact resistance
  • Requires a hardened nozzle
  • Same low heat resistance as PLA
  • Abrasive: shortens nozzle life

"Price from" is the real charge for 20 mm cube, 15 % infill, one part — excludes shipping. “From” prices are the real charge for one reference part (20 mm cube, 15 % infill), computed by the same engine as your quote and including the €7.00 order fee, before shipping. Your part's price depends on its size, height and quantity — the live quote in the configurator is binding.
