ASA is not stocked, so it can't be ordered from the configurator. Email us and we'll quote it as a special run.

Overview

ASA is chemically close to ABS with a different rubber phase that resists sunlight, so it keeps its colour and surface outdoors where ABS chalks and cracks. Heat resistance and mechanical behaviour match ABS, and so do the drawbacks: high shrinkage and an enclosed chamber.

Pros

  • UV stable for outdoor use
  • Service temperature near 95 °C
  • Impact resistant
  • Weather and water resistant

Cons

  • Shrinks and warps; needs an enclosure
  • Strong odour while printing
  • Harder to print reliably than PLA or PETG
  • Narrow colour range

Typical values for this material class. Actual figures vary by filament brand and print settings — these are not a guarantee for your part.

"Price from" is the real charge for 20 mm cube, 15 % infill, one part — excludes shipping. “From” prices are the real charge for one reference part (20 mm cube, 15 % infill), computed by the same engine as your quote and including the €7.00 order fee, before shipping. Your part's price depends on its size, height and quantity — the live quote in the configurator is binding.
